£1,300. What this did for 13 farmers.
Here are the receipts.
The land in Gaibandha is fertile. The farmers working it had been doing so for generations. What was missing was access to soil testing, better seed varieties, and the upfront capital to cover both.
Without those things, yields stayed lower than they should be and incomes remained unpredictable - not because the farmers weren't skilled, but because the right tools were out of reach.

What we did
Six months.
Four things.
Soil testing
iPAGE AgriTech ran soil analysis across all 13 plots. Identified what each needed — and what it didn't. No guesswork.
Seeds & supplies
Higher-yield seed varieties, fertiliser matched to each soil profile, and basic tools — provided upfront so cost wasn't a barrier.
Irrigation access
Equipment to reduce reliance on seasonal rain. More control over watering — critical in a flood-prone region.
Training
Four workshops covering modern farming techniques and financial planning — budgeting, saving, planning for next season.
Projected return on funding
What we said.
What happened.
Our returns are in impact, not pounds, dollars, or taka.
The people
8 of 13 farmers.
The rest were out working.
Being able to contribute as much as the men in my family — it's more than financial. It's dignity.
